Welcome to the Forest Grove Community School
The Forest Grove Community School is a free public charter school that engages students in scholarship, stewardship and citizenship with the goal of educating for sustainability. We provide a caring, smaller school environment that challenges students to reach their highest potential through learning rooted in the local community. FGCS currently enrolls students in 1st through 8th grades. We operate under a charter contract with the Forest Grove School District and are governed by an independent board of directors. We are an Oregon non-profit corporation and a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. We serve students and families in and around Forest Grove, Oregon. We are located at 1914 Pacific Ave. in downtown Forest Grove, Oregon. You may contact us at 503-359-4600 or email@example.com.
Mark Your Calendars - Important Year-End Events
Our annual Bridging Ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 11 in Taylor-Meade Auditorium at Pacific University. This ceremony honors 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th grade students who are graduating or bridging to a new grade level in FGCS. Parents and other family members are invited. This annual event usually takes place on the last day of school, but has been switched to the penultimate day because the venue was not available on our last day.
Another important and popular year-end event, Field Day, will take place on the last day of school, Friday, June 12, at Lincoln Park starting at 9:30 a.m. We will feed all students a pizza lunch at the park. All students will be dismissed at 1:05 p.m. as they are every Friday. Questions? Please contact Karen Torry at 503-359-4600 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
